About MsDre

Kate Dressekie, known professionally as MsDre, is a multidisciplinary artist whose creative journey spans over three decades across fashion, photography, and illustration.
Her story began in the early 1990s, when she launched her first creative venture as a fashion designer in London’s legendary Camden Town, selling customized clothing that captured the rebellious spirit and individuality of the era. Her designs were raw, expressive, and personal — a reflection of the DIY ethos that continues to fuel her art today.
As her artistic focus evolved, Kate moved behind the camera, immersing herself in the music photography scene. She has photographed some of the world’s most iconic artists, including Amy Winehouse, Britney Spears, and pioneers of the UK hip-hop movement such as Klashnekoff and Taskforce. Her images are known for their authenticity and emotion, capturing the creative energy that pulses through live performance and underground culture.
Now based in Brighton, Kate continues her commitment to creativity and community through her role as a photographer for Audio Active, a youth charity that empowers young people through music and artistic expression. Working with emerging artists, she helps nurture new voices and creative confidence in the next generation.
For the past six years, Kate has dedicated herself fully to her practice as an illustrator, building a striking body of work inspired by goddess energy, spiritual symbolism, and divine femininity. Her intricate illustrations blend mythology, nature, and sacred geometry to celebrate empowerment and connection.
Her commissions reflect the depth and diversity of her creative journey — from a Hanuman-inspired piece for Ram Dass House in Maui, to ongoing poster artwork for Shoobz, a long-running monthly club night in Brighton, where her designs are seen across the city. Kate also proudly paints the Pink Castle in the Kidz Field at Glastonbury Festival every year, contributing her signature vibrant touch to one of the festival’s most beloved spaces for families and children.
Her artwork is showcased at festivals, art fairs, independent shops, and through her Etsy store, where her goddess-inspired prints and originals continue to find homes with collectors around the world. Across every medium — from cloth to camera to canvas — MsDre’s work is a celebration of creativity, spirituality, and the magic of self-expression.
